HANNAH'S CHANCE FOUNDATION
In October 2004 my beautiful 16-year old daughter, Hannah, was diagnosed with synovial sarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. We fought the battle together with little victories along way, but sadly the cancer took her life in October 2007 – nearly three years to the day she first felt the lump in her groin area.
Hannah’s Chance Foundation was the brainchild of Hannah and Tom O’Driscoll (who is also a survivor of cancer and whom married Hannah shortly before she passed away). It was Hannah’s wish that a non-profit organisation be established to help advance the research into the type of cancer that was she was unable to beat, and to raise awareness of the deadly disease which often goes undetected in the early stages.
In Hannah’s final days she asked me if I would be the Ambassador for Hannah’s Chance and to make her wish come true.
I have kept my promise to Hannah and have worked hard to help spread the word about this disease. Thank you to the Wesley Research Institute for their support and untiring commitment to the cause.
